It's been a while since i've seen a commercial that's made me laugh.

Who remembers that kick-ass Nike commercial from early in 1990? Parent groups got to it, complained, and got it pulled after only like 2 days on the air.

There was a guy wearing Nike's and a guy wearing Reebok's, and they both jumped off a bridge, connected to bungee cords. The camera then went to the guy in the Nike's bouncing up and down on the cord, and then it went to the Reebok's - minus their guy, just hanging there on the cord. Anyone else see it? Milk came out my nose and sprayed the living room with that one!

Ok, so I might be a tad bit "dark" in my sense of humor. Heh.

This Volkswagen commercial just now came on. Nothing came out my nose, and as we all know, this is the TRUE test of comedy. If something comes out your nose, then that shit was damned funny. This was funny. Not damned funny, but it made me laugh, and go "Oh! I'm so gonna post about that!"

These German engineers were trying to "Rap" and mimic the hand movements and such; attempting to rap out their commercial in their German accents, and they were really out of the rhythm of the music. Even more-so that say ... I am always out of rhythm with the music (Yes, yes I do want to be a dancer - why were you thinking about that?)

They were looking at this American car with a big ole blower on the hood, and then it got slammed out of the way to show the cutest Volkswagen design they've come up with in years.

An interview with Clotaire K

Background noise: Ya Saryan - Clotaire K

Clotaire K

In a recent Belly Dance workshop in Las Vegas with Heather Stants of "Urban Tribal Dance Company", I was introduced to the music of Clotaire K, and really enjoyed it from the beginning. When I got home, I googled him, and found His site, where I was introduced to scenes of Beirut that I had never witnessed before, and found myself quite impressed with the man behind the music that I enjoyed. Shortly after that, I ordered his Cd, have pretty much been listening to it ever since, and am now quite the fan.

You can imagine how excited I was when he agreed to doing an interview with me for my little blog here. Read more... )

~If you have high speed, you can listen to some of Clotaire's music on his site. I have dial up, so I had to go the Womax site to listen. They also have a bit of a profile on him there.

Did you hear about this new show yet?

curious

Current mood swing -: curious

You probably have, as i'm always a little behind when it comes to Pop Culture things, but I saw this advertised yesterday, and it caught my eye.

HBO is going to be airing a drama show about polygamy. It will be airing after The Sopranos and starts March 12th. I have to admit, I'm curious. Many of you already know my feelings on "Poly - anything", and I don't suppose this is any different at all. I do, however, support freedom of television, and think that the FCC is a needless entity. People will watch what appeals to them. Period.

It's called Big Love )

Will you watch it? Why or why not? How long before the Christian fundies start their war on it?
